What a drag it is when your computer isn't doing what it should! Fortunately, I got the opportunity while working at Apple, to learn how to address these issues quickly and accurately. I learned to be creative in my approaches to finding solutions. In fact, I get my greatest joy (yes, fixing Macs brings me joy) is when I can figure out the trickiest of tricky problems. Here are some of the things that I can do for you and your Mac. Basic troubleshooting: Your Mac won't start, runs slowly or "makes funny noises". Upgrades: Hard drives, memory, wireless and more. Backup strategies and systems, tailored to your needs. Switching from Windows. For AppleCare-covered repairs, we can deal with the Genius Bar for you. Analog (cassettes, vinyl, photos) to digital media conversion. New Mac sales consultation and set-up. "I'm Your Genius" or the Genius Bar? If you have never been to a Genius Bar at an Apple store, that's a good and bad thing. Bad, in that, you haven't seen how maybe the best customer service in the world looks in action. It's good, in that, you probably haven't had anything go wrong with your computer. The Genius Bar gives great, fast, and knowledgable service...for free! (Unless you have to have a repair done). But, of course, this means that you have to go to an Apple store and, usually, wait to be seen. But, what if you don't feel like finding and driving to and parking at an Apple store, dealing with a shopping mall, waiting (or going to drop-off and pick-up your computer for service) to be helped at the Genius Bar? I work at your home or place of business. At your pace. If you have a portable Mac, going to the Bar is not so bad. But, if your have a desktop Mac that is all set up, it can be more problematic. Let's say that you have a Mac Pro/PowerMac tower that won't print to your 100-pound laser printer? Or, you have an AirPort issue that you can reproduce at the Genius Bar?
